Team 1 wb 23.11.20

Date: 27th Nov 2020 @ 3:47pm

Another busy week has been had in Team 1. We continued our writing around our class text, Lost and Found. The children are focussing on using capital letters and full stops, and today we read out loud our Lost and Found story map using actions for each capital letter and full stop.

In maths we are continuing to work on addition and subtraction within 10. We have been using part-part-whole models to show that a whole number can be split into 2 different parts.

In geography, we discovered that countries around the equator are warm, and countries around the poles are cold. We used a torch and a globe to show how the sun lands on each part of the world.

We learned some colours in French this week, with the whole lesson being delivered entirely in French! No English was allowed, but the children managed to understand everything that was asked of them. Well done, little linguists!

Our week ended with some lovely time outdoors playing with our school dog, Raz. Before this, we talked about how to act sensibly around animals to make sure we do not surprise or upset them. The children acted so sensibly and showed great care and respect for Raz. Photos are on Twitter.

Don’t forget to check out our Twitter page for regular updates, celebrations of success, and photos showing what we have been up to! @HMillSchool

Enjoy your weekend, Team 1. Be awesome!
