Another wonder week has come to an end. We started the week with a lot of missing superstars, but now we have reached Friday we have most children back in school and it has been lovely welcoming them back.

In English, we have been practising joining words using and to write about the things around the classroom which have been nibbled by Nibbles The Book Monster. We have also begun to add the suffixes –s or –es to singular nouns (where the root word does not change) to make them plural. Eg. Nibbles eats clocks and dishes. Some children added description to their sentences eg. Nibbles eats ticking clocks and hard dishes.

In maths we have been finding numbers bonds for numbers up to 10 by working systematically. We also began comparing number bonds to 10.

In PE we added transitions to our ‘growing’ dance. Here is a link to the music we are using in our dance in case the children want to show you their movements at home:
