Team 1 wb 8.11.21

This week in Team 1 we have finished reading our class text, ‘Lost and Found’ by Oliver Jeffers. We have been writing sentences using capital letters for names, and using description. Next week we will begin innovating the story, and re-writing it replacing the penguin with another animal.

In maths, we have been finding out about splitting a whole number into 2 parts. We have been filling in part-whole models, and spotting any ‘marvellous mistakes.’

In science, we investigated the different everyday materials around our classroom. We managed to find items made of metal, wood, plastic and glass, even some made of more than one material.

The children began learning some songs for our Christmas Nativity, and I am sure that these songs will soon be stuck in their heads (and ours)!

For Mouse Mania, the children enjoyed having their own toys in school, and sharing their fun with their friends. We saw some lovely explanations of how their toys work, and some great sharing.
