That’s the first full week back done and dusted!! Once again, we have had a very buy week.

In English this week we have been working on writing our letters to Brownie, Plop’s cousin. The enthusiasm, expression and skill the children have put into their writing is incredible to see. In Maths this week, we have been adding two, two-digit numbers using both the dienes to support our learning and number lines.

In Art this week the children finished off constructing, painting and decorating their masks. As you would have seen, lots of hard work has gone into making these masks. The children have cut, measured and constructed their masks independently and they look amazing.

During our afternoon learning this week we have looked at life after The Great Fire of London. We explored how the people at the time recovered from the disaster as well as looking at Samuel Pepys and looked at the records of his diary. In Science, we will be looking at what animals need to survive. So this week we had a little look at the rainforest and explored what animals need to survive there. On Thursday, we had the exciting pleasure to meet Amanda and Connor who will be working with us for the next 10 weeks to teach us some dance routines! The children were thrilled with this and we really enjoyed some of the exercises!

We finished off an amazing week with not only one, but two big cheeses!! So to celebrate we had some sweets and watched film. Have a lovely rest of the weekend everybody!
