We have absolutely LOVED learning about the first African-American woman in space this week- Mae Jemison. We have been learning about how she made her dreams come true even when people told her she couldn't. We have been talking about our dreams for the future and what we would like to be when we grow up.

In English, we have been learning to join words and clauses with and. We have put these into practise writing facts about Mae and writing instructions on how to make a cardboard rocket which we loved making!

In maths we have been applying our knowledge of place value in numbers to 100 with problems and reasoning questions.

In science we have learned all about keeping healthy through diet, exercise and hygiene. Music was such fun on Monday! We watched the launch of the space shuttle endeavour and used onomatopoeic words to create our own pieces of music using a 4 part beat.

Can't wait for next week! Have a fabulous weekend!
