Team 2 WB: 26.6.23

Date: 30th Jun 2023 @ 4:00pm

Another great week in Team 2. This week we have started our new writing unit ‘The Last Wolf’ and so far I have been really impressed with the stamina and presentation from all the children. We have been applying our skills to create a list of things Little Red would need in the woodlands and we’ve created our own poem.

In maths, this week, we have started our next unit, looking at volume. The children have been really engaged throughout these sessions as our explorer’s tasks have been rather practical, especially with the water! Nevertheless, this has really support their understanding as they are flying through their independent task.

In Science this week, we created our own investigation exploring the most popular types of foods Team 2 children in. Our big question this week was ‘How do humans and the planet have a balanced diet?’ It was really interesting exploring this as we spoke about how what we eat can affect the planet. We then touched upon Global warming and how what we do contributes to the whole planet.

In PE this week, we have been continued our explorers unit and we spent the session moving our bodies to represent if we had arrived on a desert island.

To finish off the week, we had another Mouse Mania of toys from home- it seems to be very popular in Team 2 at the moment. Have a lovely weekend everyone, see you on Monday!
