Team 2 WB: 7.9.21

Date: 14th Sep 2021 @ 3:50pm

Well that’s the first week completed and what a busy week we have had!! We have had a lovely week hearing about all the busy activities you’ve all been up to over the summer holidays. Firstly, we’ve kicked started our half term by jumping straight in with some place value activities in Maths. We have been using different concrete resources such as Dienes and Bead strings to help shape our understanding of numbers to 100. In English, we have been focusing on nouns and adjectives as well as learning how we can use an adjective to give the noun that little bit extra detail in our writing. In the afternoons we have been on a Geography walk, drawing pictures of our school grounds and turning them into a bird’s eye view perspective. We also managed to get into the woodlands this week during our computing session focusing on instructing out friends with direction. On Tuesday morning Mrs Caroe delivered a very creative Art session, getting very busy with owl creations! We also worked on some team building and coordination skills in PE. During Science this week we began to widen our understanding of sound by discussing what sound is, how it is made and how it travels. Finally, to end our week, we came together and finished with a circle time based on friendship and how we can support our friends in the classroom.

So Team 2, have a well-deserved rest over the weekend. I am excited to hear all the wonderful things you get up to over the weekend. See you Monday!
