This week in Team 3...

Well what an exciting, action packed week it has been for us. With our class assembly on Wednesday, the first part of the week was busy rehearsing, organising customes and props and learning a dance. We were very lucky to have Jennifer come in on Tuesday morning and help the children develop an Egyptian dance based on hieroglyphics. The children came up with their own moves and collaborated wonderfully with their group to create a fantastic routine.

Our Egyptian assembly was on Wednesday and I couldn't of been more proud of how well all the children performed. Their confidence and commitment was wonderful to watch and everyone watching seemed to really enjoy it, Great job Team 3!

With the general election on thursday, this meant our classroom was out of use for the day. We therefore had a special Rocket Engineering Day where the children designed and built their own rockets in groups then got to launch them out on the school field. All rockets successfully launched and we even lost some over the field as the wind carried them towards the Shell garage. The children had lots of fun whilst learning through a great cross-curricular activity.

Friday we were back in the classroom and the children were given the challenge of writing an instruction text on 'How to build a Model Rocket'. We learnt about Imperative (Bossy) verbs and used this learning to write a super set of instructions.

That's all for this week. Have a lovely weekend.
