Team 3 Wb 13th June

Date: 17th Jun 2022 @ 12:47pm

Wow what a hot and busy week we have had! Thanks goodness for air conditioning in our classroom.

We started the week with our sports day and we are sure that you will all agree that it was brilliant. The children did us proud by trying their hardest in every race that they took part in. It takes a lot of courage to run/skip etc. in front of a packed out audience, so hats off to them for stepping outside their comfort zone and participating.

On Wednesday we said goodbye to our student teacher Miss Stockley. We have been so impressed with her work and we are sure that she will make an excellent teacher. She can now enjoy spending some time with her family over the summer.

In Maths, we are learning about turns and angles, ready to move onto lines and shapes next week. The children have really enjoyed this (much better than learning about time!!). We have asked them to continue to practise telling the time at home, alongside learning the times tables (TT Rockstars and Hit the Button are great to help).

In English, we have just finished writing about Blue Whales and have each written a non-fiction piece about the harm that we are causing to our oceans and whales in particular and how we can stop this. Your child should be able to tell you some interesting facts that they have learnt.

Have a wonderful weekend. See you all next week!
