Team 3 wc 4.7.22

Date: 10th Jul 2022 @ 12:04pm

This week we have finished our book in English, 'Journey', and have been completing lots of short burst writes to help us practise applying our skills independently. We are excited to complete our final piece of writing for Team 3 next week- and we get to write it our our new Team 4 books!

In maths, we have continued to learn about mass and have been exploring different kinds of scales as well as converting between kg and g and completing problems involving mass.

History on Wednesday was interesting but a bit gross! Did you know Ancient Egyptians pulled the brain of a dead person out through their nose!?! We learned all about the process of mummification and the beliefs of Ancient Egyptians that there was an afterlife. We looked at lots of pictures from inside the tombs of pharaohs. In Tutankhamun's tomb, he took a chariot for the afterlife and Khufu took several whole boats!

In science, we have continued to learn about light and in particular how shadows are formed and how they can change. We had fun making our own shadows puppets and are looking forward to testing them out to explore changing shadows further.

Have a wonderful weekend in the sunshine!
