Team 3:7.12.18

Date: 9th Dec 2018 @ 10:07am

Well what a week it has been! We are very proud of all our hard work and dedication to learning our lines and songs for the KS2 Christmas production- it was so much fun! Everyone gave it their all!

We have also been working hard in English this week, writing our final pieces based on the book 'Winter's Child'. We wrote our own fantasy stories based on the book, making sure to include all our Team 3 learning so far, including conjunctions, paragraphs, prepositions and adverbs. We have also made a start on our Christmas books which will go out in the last days of the term.

In Maths, we have moved on to using the column method to add two 3-digit numbers. First, we looked at the expanded column method to show that we understand what each column represents and now we are moving on to the compact method. We've also started practising our 2,3,4,5,8 and 10 times table in morning challenges- it would be great if you could support this learning with practise at home starting with 2,5 and 10 the moving on to 3,4 and 8s.

We also learned about christingles this week in a reading comprehension, ready for making them next week in class.

Thank you for all your support this week in bringing children after school, bringing in donations and coming along the the Christmas fair-it's been a busy week and we appreciate your help.

Have a lovely weekend,

Miss Delaney
