Team 4 - W/b - 20.5.19

Date: 24th May 2019 @ 1:42pm

Despite a short week for the children there has still been plenty of learning happening in Team 4.

In maths, the children have powered through their learning about fractions and decimals. We have practised comparing and ordering numbers with 2 decimal places and been able to explain the value of tenths and hundredths. We have also learned how you can find a fraction of a quantity by dividing by the denominator and multiplying by the numerator.

After the half term, the children will be taking part in a pilot for the Times Tables Check. It would be really helpful if they continue to practise their times tables skills at home, either with Times Tables Rockstars or however they prefer.

In English, we have now completed our exciting story about the escape from a volcanic island. There have been some marvellous pieces of writing and it is lovely to see the clear progress that individuals have now made.

We have now reached the end of the penultimate term in Team 4. In the final half term we will look forward to Sports Day, transition day and our Team 4 residential.

We hope the children have a lovely rest at half term and we look forward to seeing them for the very busy but fun packed seven weeks when we return.
