Team 4 - W/b - 28.1.19

Date: 3rd Feb 2019 @ 11:50am

This week has been a memorable one! The snow on Wednesday was extremely exciting for us all and it was a real pleasure to be able to enjoy some time outside making the most of the rather rare opportunity! I would like to mention how proud we were with the behaviour of all of the children - although I won't be forgetting whose snowball went down the back of my hood (EG!)

As well as the snow, we have completed some excellent learning this week. Children have demonstrated a good understanding of what it means to multiply and divide by 1 and 0. We started our work on understanding what a kilometre looks like and I've challenged the children to find out how far they travel to school.

I hope that the children have started talking about Times Tables Rockstars which is an online platform to help children practise their times tables. This was launched in an assembly at the beginning of the week where the adults demonstrated their skills. The challenge is now on to "beat the teacher"!

In addition to this we have continued to develop our inference skills by using an array of materials. The children have shown such enthusiasm and the ideas that they have been sharing with each other have been fantastic!

We also had our e-safety debate focussing on online gaming. The children were able to justify their opinions and confidently shared with Key stage 2.

Once again, we are very proud of Team 4 and their confidence and passion that they are showing with their learning.

Have an amazing week.

Mrs Hughes, Miss Foster and Team 4.
