Team 4 - W/b - 29.4.19

Date: 8th May 2019 @ 8:11am

Team 4 have worked so hard this week; it has been excellent to see the progress in their books.
In English, we have completed a diary entry based on our text - The Day the Giant Stirred. In this diary entry, the children displayed skills such as paragraphing and including expanded noun phrases. There was a genuine sense of pride in the work produced.
In maths, we have continued our work on understanding fractions. We have now developed a good understanding of what equivalent fractions are.
Alongside English and Maths the children have completed a beautiful project about teamwork and the messages of No Outsiders. We will share this work by putting it on display in the bay in the next few weeks.

Our guided reading session this week was based on The Twits and we looked at the difference between facts and rumours and in science we completed an investigation to explore our digestive system.

On Thursday, we had the opportunity to participate in a Diamond Cricket tournament. We were split into 2 teams and competed against several other schools from our local area. It was a lovely morning and Team 4 made us very proud with their attitude and their support for each other.
