Team 4 Wb 7.12.20

Christmas has definitely arrived in Team 4 this week! 

This week the children have written their own Christmas story based upon the plot from Gorilla. At the beginning of the week, the children worked out the main stages of the story and completed a planning grid. We have then written sections of the story day by day and tried to edit as we go along.

In maths, we have revisited addition and used practical apparatus to help us to consolidate understanding. We have also continued with our focus on times tables and we were delighted to see so many children achieving top scores in their times tables test.

In reading, we have been developing our reasoning skills with a variety of texts including The Animals of Farthing Wood. We have also made some good progress with the class novel, Varjak Paw. We will be asking children to try and complete their current reading book so that we can make sure we change their book next week, ready for the holidays.

Next week we will be looking forward to Christmas parties, Christmas dinner and completing our Christmas books. Have a wonderful weekend.
