Team 5: First week back!

Date: 11th Sep 2016 @ 12:51pm

The first week back is always slightly nerve-wracking, both for teachers and children! A new classroom, a new teacher, potentially new faces. However, I am impressed with how well the new Team 5 have settled into their new classroom, and we have all enjoyed getting to know each other this week.

We began the week by partaking in some team-building activities with Premier Sports, which the children were enthusiastic about. We also created our Class Charter, all in agreement about ensuring our classroom environment is fun, safe and full of learning.

We have also used the watercolours for creating animal pictures for display (our first English unit will be looking at Animal Poems by Ted Hughes) and practised mark-making techniques for creating a display pocket: which will showcase our best piece of writing from last year as a reference point for future writing.

We also had a go at a range of mathematics problems, as a warm-up task for next week's mathematics learning.

I hope you have all had a wonderful weekend, ready for returning to learning tomorrow!
