Team 5 w/b 4.3.19

In Team 5 this week...

In Maths, we have been learning to use short and long multiplication methods.  We're getting good at remembering to add the zero before starting the second line!

In English, we've been writing our own traditional tales inspired by 'The Lost Happy Endings' by Carol Ann Duffy.  We've been using characterisation to show that the witch is a horrible character, focusing on the use of speech, dialogue, actions and description.  We've also been practising building different atmospheres thorugh our settings; a few people have even used some personification!

We've also made up our own mnemonics to remember the order of the planets, and have been discussing the links between Christianity and 'The Chronicles of Narnia'.  

Next week's Mouse Mania is a Donut Party.
