This week has been a blast!

On Monday, we started off with reading our favourite class book so far, which is called 'Crater Lake' written by Jennifer Killick.  In the afternoon, we learnt new football skills and tricks with Coach Craig.

Throughout the rest of the week, we have been learning about our topic, Civil Rights.  We read a book by Barack Obama called 'Of Thee I sing: A letter to my daughters'.  It was about great American people like Martin Luther King Jr and Abraham Lincoln.  We wrote a letter to Mr Obama stating how we liked or disliked it and questioned him about certain parts of the book.  We have also been improving on our spelling with our practice books.

On Wednesday, we had Science with Miss Johnson, experimenting with solids and a liquid.  We used water to inspect if materials would dissolve or not.  Before that, we learnt about Black History in Britain and had a reading lesson about Rosa Parks.  We have also completed some art work for our display in the cloakroom inspired by Chuck Close.

We can't wait for next week!

Although there's been a few bumps in the road, we've made it through a tiring week, eager and excited for more learning!
