Team 6 - wb 9.11.20

This week has been marvellous!

On Monday, we started off with P.E (with Coach Craig) where we learnt how to dribble balls within an area, passing it to our partners, that we chose, on the other side of the playground.

As well as that, we’ve also been learning about the Suffragettes this week in our Reading lessons.  We learned about the history of voting and how the Suffragette movement began.  It was really interesting and inspiring.

On Wednesday, some Team 6 children who used their lunchtime to make the remembrance wreath, Amber, Eve and Maegan (the writers of the class blogs) travelled to St. Paul’s Church for Remembrance Day. When we arrived, we walked to the Cenotaph and Amber pronounced all of the names from people who died in World War 1 who lived locally. That was followed by Hillside School reading all the names from the 2nd World War. As we laid the wreath we crafted, Maegan and Eve read out a poem, followed by Hillside School reading their poem.

The next day (in the afternoon) Mrs Dorrell, the Helsby Highschool P.E teacher, came in to teach us dodgeball. We had a great time!

Today, we came in with our pyjamas on for Children in Need Day and put a pound in the charity box outside. We raised (as a school) £162.50p! That’s quite a lot of money and we are really proud.

As you can see, our week has been pretty busy. We can’t wait for next week!
