Team 6 Wb 10.10.16

Date: 16th Oct 2016 @ 7:56pm

This week in Team 6 we learned about both Islam and the Muslim religion. We had many discussions and also designed Mahindi patterns using our hand prints; they were so good Mrs Cox gave prizes for the best Mahindi patterns (Well done Maja, Chloe and George). We also drew a picture of a happy place that we could look at in awe! Poppy, Harry and Jason won a prize each for their drawings.  We did all of this with Mrs Cox and we enjoyed it thoroughly.

On Thursday we focused on making World War 2 cookies. We made carrot cookies and oat cookies while some of our team went and represented our school in a Tag Rugby tournament at Helsby Rugby Club. They did extremely well and managed to get into 3rd place, well done Horn’s Mill!

On Friday we focused on our World War 2 play. We were very lucky to have Jennifer, Spencer’s mum, come in and teach us how to incorporate the dances we created in Conway and The LindiHop into our play.

The big cheese this week was Lucy Clift and the Magnificent Mouse raffle ticket winner was William John Evans. Well done to you both! The tag rugby people and the 5,000 metre runners got their certificates presented in assembly too.

Well done everybody!
