Team 6 wb: 29.1.24

Date: 4th Feb 2024 @ 11:23am

Hi everyone - we have another busy week in Team 6!

This week in maths we have been finishing our fractions unit and have also started learning about decimals.

In English we have been finishing our diarys as a child from the windrush generation. We described the journey from their country within the Caribbean to Britain and all they experienced. We ave been reading some real life accounts from people like Floella Benjamin, to help us understand what this journey was like.

In science we have been looking at what germs and viruses are in our body and if there are any in mould.

In RE we have been looking at the differences in Christianity and Judaism, as well as the similarities.

This week in our class read we are reading High Rise Mystery, which is a murder mystery book that we are all really enjoying. So far, Nik and Norva (the main characters) are trying to solve the murder of the art teacher, Hugo. Unfortunately, their dad is the main suspect at the moment. We can't wait to find out what happens next.

In Geography, we have been continuing our topic of South America and exploring its landscape further. We looked at the Amazon this week - the rainforest and the river - and found out some interesting facts!

Have a lovely weekend everyone!
