In English this week, we have been learning more about Ernest Shackleton and his crew. We have picked out a certain person from his crew and learned more about them and their roles on the ship - Endurance. After that, we have been writing our job applications to become a crew member for the Antarctic expedition using active and passive voice. The letter needed appropriate formality, so we were talking about the different vocabulary that we would use to make sure that this was the case.

In maths, we have been learning about percentages and how to convert them into decimals and fractions. We have also learned about measuring in mm, cm and m - millimeters, centimeters and meters- and how we can turn mm into cm by x10 or mm to cm by dividing it by 10. Also turning m into cm by x100 and cm to m by dividing by 100. It has been quite tricky, but we all got there!

In PE, we have been improving our throwing skills by throwing balls and Javelin by throwing in different directions and poses. We have worked on these skills by playing competitions and games.

We finished our class book 'High Rise Mystery' this week which ended with us finding out who murdered Hugo (many of us had predicted who the killer was but we won't give it away incase you want to read it). We would definitely recommend this book!!

Have a good weekend everyone,

Kayleigh
