Team 6 - wb 9.10.23

Date: 13th Oct 2023 @ 7:04pm

This week in Team 6 we have done many fun things like completing our attendance potato head and we have chosen (for our extra treat) to have a whole afternoon of mouse mania!!!

In English this week, we have been writing a diary entry about our current (English) class text, Star of Fear Star of Hope. We wrote about one of the characters having a sleepover with their friend and something scary happening. This book is set in the middle of world war two.

On Friday something exciting happened! In our class several people applied for the role of head pupil by writing their own speech and reading it out in front of the whole key stage two! We will find out which two pupils (or three if it’s really hard to decide!) on Monday next week!

On Wednesday we had someone come in to do a workshop on world war two which was very fun and we learnt about rationing and the women’s land army. We looked at real things from around that time, and much more fun things! (We had the same person for our Anglo Saxon workshop in T5 as well)

In P.E we carried on our topic of lindy-hop, which is a style of messy, fun, dancing that came around towards the end of the war. Last week we just learnt some lindy-hop moves with our partners but this week we learnt lifts! We learnt several different kinds and put together our own dance with the moves we learnt and some of the lifts. At the end we all performed one by one and then we all freestyled at once!

Have a lovely weekend everyone,
