Week beginning 19th March

Date: 23rd Mar 2018 @ 5:20pm

As we move closer to the end of term, we took part in the annual inter-school cross country race at Delamere Forest organised through FAVSP. Luckily the weather was kind to us and we had a great time competing against other local schools. 48 excited children took part in the 16 races, each and everyone giving 100% to the activity. Some of the races were very close with three Year 3 boys competing for 13th, 14th and 15th, two Year 5 older girls battling for 8th and 9th, two Year 5 younger boys coming 31st and 32nd and two Year 6 younger boys fighting for 15th and 16th.

We had a 1st place with Year 3 girls and a 2nd in Year 6 girls but also had several top ten finishers. Every child we took represented our school amazingly, showing commitment, enthusiasm and sportsmanship. We were proud of each and everyone. We can really see that the Daily Mile is paying off as our stamina and pace awareness has improved greatly.  Thanks to everyone who came along to cheer on the runners. What a fabulous afternoon.
